You know, I have been on a bit of a technology low. I didn’t want to use the computer or phone or camera. I just felt like getting away from technology for a while. I go through periods like that. But I am back now and I have a layout to share. It has taken me about a month to do this layout. I made the base of the layout quite quickly but it took me a week to think of my journalling and then it has taken me another week to be bothered to print it out and stick it down.
But here it is anyway.

I have another layout here that is finished except for the journalling. Maybe I will get onto that tonight since I am not going to work. Love me an RDO!

Ok, so the layout didn’t turn out as bad as I had thought it would. I have been loving the inspiration coming from this blog – Gallery Standouts. I already love scrapping vertical and symmetrical so a lot of these layouts just feel ‘right’ to me. You know? I tried to be arty and free with this layout like some of the inspiration, but, yeah, it didn’t work and I tried to cover most of it! LOL! Oh and how good do I feel that I was able to use up some of that Junkitz paper? I bought it when it first came out and I’d be darned if I could make it work with anything! It just goes to show, if you keep (aka hoard) something long enough you will be able to use it eventually!

I am in the middle of a scrapFAIL layout.
I can’t start a new layout without finishing the first layout.
It’s just a thing I do.
So I have nothing to share.
Until I finish my ugly layout.
Except I spent a wonderful scrappy day with some new friends.
Sarah. Daphne. And Cindy.
I had the best time and I can’t wait till we do it all again.

Day to day, Scrapbooking
It’s been a while. We even went on a little camping holiday up to Forster. A nice little spot if you are into fishing and the beach. We had a really nice couple of days away. A little stressful but still nice enough.
This is what we woke up to every morning. Nice, huh?

Now for some layouts? These are my TSE newsletter layouts using Pink Paislee Cupid range.

You can’t rush these things… yes, it only took me tree days, but I scrapped! This layout was for the sketch challenge on the Scrapbooking Memories site. I don’t do challenges often, but I had a bit of an idea for this one and just had to scrap it. Just before I go, I would like to thank everyone who stopped by my blog and especially to those who took time out of their day to comment on my last post. A heartfelt thankyou.

Yes, my SM Master’s 2009 projects to share. I am not sure if it was my achievement or my shaped layout that received a HM so I won’t share either of them until I find out.
ETA: Thanks Michelle for letting me know it was my achievement layout. Wow, a bit surprised as I thought the journalling wouldn’t read well when shrunk to fit in the magazine. Interesting.
So then, here is my shaped layout. It took me ages and I agonised over this layout the most.

I beaded the flowers down the bottom, it was the first time I had done anything like that and I quite like the way it turned out too.

Here is the double. I find this layout tremendously boring but I wanted to create a balanced layout using big photos, I think they are about 5.5″x3.5″. Just click on it to see the full layout.

My mystery poject which is an altered book I did for Steve. I will tell you now, individually gluing together 246 pages of a book is not fun. Also cutting out about 200 of these pages to create the recesses was equally not fun. A not fun project, but I love it to bits because it is Steve all over.

I have some more 365 photos to share, but the post is already image heavy enough as it is. I can’t believe I am still keeping up with it also, it’s as if I am enjoying looking for stuff to photograph. Who’d have thought?!

Day to day, Project 365
So far I have had two days of not making a mistake when writing the date.
Yay me.
Not related to my Project365, but here’s a photo of Amy taken the other day. She has really wanted to have a turn on the Wii since the kids got it for Christmas. Why not? You know, this girl out performed Luke, he was a gracious loser too, and myself, although I didn’t compete against her, the sheer number of aces she pulled out of the hat amazed me. I still haven’t managed one!

And now the continuance of my Project365 photos:
5. At the park. Not a great photo, but Amy loves to go on the swings and as long as you are in front of her pushing, she has no fear!

6. Sad but true, my Christmas tree is still up. It’s pretty. 2009 we went with pink, purple, blue and silver decorations. I wonder what combo we will use for 2010.

7. A guy at work lent me a book on photography. The first exercise was to go and change the aperture and ISO in order to set shutter speed. Yes, my camera has now been taken off the AUTO button and put on the MANUAL button. I know, it’s a hose and a brick wall, but I like the natural colours just the same.

8. Amy was playing in the backyard with some empty bottles. It looks like she was having fun? Now Luke and Amy are having sword fights with them. Oh to be a child again…

I also got a new toy for Christmas, I have no idea what to do with it or how to use it, but it’s all good.

Hopefully I will have a layout to share tomorrow. I have an idea rolling around in my noggin.

Project 365, Scrapbooking
Does anyone else keep writing October 2001 (as in 10.01)? Or is it just me?
Another post? So soon. Yep, a layout to share.

Based on this sketch for the challenge over at The Scrapbook Establishment.

I decided to have another crack at Project 365.
Last year I didn’t even get to day 19. Let’s see if I can beat that this year. *sigh* I am such a gunna.
So far here are the photos I have taken:
1. Kate watching Steve make a concoction of sparklers ans party poppers. Not a good photo, but at the time I wasn’t even thinking about doing P365!

2. Amy sitting with me in the gutter while I tried to get a decent photo of our cat. I didn’t get one. He likes to come and check the camera out.

3. The Harbour Bridge and Luna Park taken from the boardwalk at the Opera House during out Family Funday Sunday trip to the city.

4. Some of our mini agapanthas flowering in the back garden. I was trying to get a good depth of field. Yeah right! Maybe if I don’t try and use auto!

Christmas, Day to day
A few things, Christmas was wonderful. It was so much nicer than I imagined it would be. No, my house wasn’t decorated like I wanted it to be and no, I didn’t cook the massive big feast I wanted to, but you know, it was still perfect.
Steve’s low salicylate, anime and glutomate diet has been going well. Except for the Christmas Day incident where the lure of BBQ sauce was just too great, apparently. But now we have the RPA Elimination Diet Handbook, it has made everything so much clearer to us and it has been great. Steve has even lost over 3 kilos.
I am just going to list 2 links to recipes here so I can refer back to them and also if anyone else needs them.

Ok, so I didn’t complete my 25 Days of Christmas. It’s all good. I only have 2 days left, and well, why not upload them today?
Day 24
Something special you can do with the kids. Lisa from The Red Thread has created these beautiful baubles.

Day 25
Well, I found the most cutest Elves. Just follow this link for the tutorial. This tutorial comes to us by way of the Make Baby Stuff . com site.
