So. Here we are again. So soon. This time with a layout. I know. It’s been a long time coming. This layout was started about 6 weeks ago now, maybe even 7 weeks. A long time, anyway. I originally started it for one of the Journal Challenges prompts. I guess the thing that held me back from finishing it was the journalling. I had so much to write but only a 14 x 6cm rectangle to do it in. So. I decided to get to the point. And I did that yesterday and I am liking the fact that it is finished. That I have my thoughts down. And I will let you in on a little secret. Crocheting through a piece of cardstock is hard. Especially with cooking twine. But worth it. :)

Sorry

PS. That’s Kate in that photo with Nan, not Amy. Oh no. The poor kids really do look like me!

I came across this photo of myself and my sister, Fliss. And gosh darn it, if Amy isn’t the spit out of my mouth.

Excuse Amy’s dirty face! :P Now, back to looking for that baby photo of me for the upcoming CC at TSE.

I don’t really have much to say today, just a bit of a share. Here are some newsletter layouts for TSE:

I got to work with Scrap Within Reach’s Industrial Park range. Really masculine and grungy. Really fun just to let go and have fun.

Also, I have only about 10 pages to go until I finish reading this:

Book

Amy has learnt that she can shimmy up the slide and then lie down and go back down. She loves it.

Amy

And while I type, Steve just called out to me to tell me that Amy can roll her tongue. I always thought she could, every now and then it looked like she was about to, but now, she has. Very cool!!! :D

Well, I have had a bit of a life/scrapping/blogging hiatus. It’s been nice.

I went into the city with my uncle to take some photos. This is my favourite photo from the night. You wouldn’t believe that 3 boats went past either. Lucky my uncle knows a couple of tricks. ;)

1

Luke was cast as a cow in his class’ item for assembly. I made him this cow costume. Although the kids were picking on me at one stage saying it was a monkey suit because the tail was quite long.

2

And then on to Father’s Day. Steve got quite spoiled this year. Nothing he doesn’t deserve. We decided to go to Brighton-Le-Sands for a frolic on the beach, no swimming though as it is still too cold!

3

And what day at the beach would be complete without some fish and chips?

4

Well, that’s about it from me today, I am off to finish some layouts and Amy will wake up soon. I will be back in a couple of days with some layouts. :)

MIA. Nah. Just slack. I have had no motivation to do anything. Especially scrapbook. So, nothing to share on this post. Except for a new baby. My niece arrived yesterday surprising us all as Fliss, my sister, was booked in for her caesar today.

Here is Erica Nicole:

She was born at 9.27am, weighing 3260g, 50cm long with HC of 33.5cms.

Some layout I did for this week’s newsletter over at The Scrapbook Establishment. I got to use Webster’s Pages, Sweet as Cherry Pie range. I was very overwhelmed at first, but when you cut it up into smaller bits, strips etc, I find it easier to get my head around it!

I know, this is very much a ‘go to’ design for me. Sometimes I find it just works as I have enough room for pics and the story. Which is most important.

Proud

This layout is about Steve’s Grandma’s omelette recipe. It’s his favourite but I think they taste more like eggy pancakes than omlettes! LOL!

Amy was so cute the other day, she said “bye bye” and waved and also “yes sir” as she is copying Luke when he says “Sir yes sir” all the time. She has also started doing ninja punches. Hmmmm. I will blame that on Luke also. LOL.

Well, that’s about all from me today. Not alot to say really. I have enjoyed my week off work, even if it meant Steve had to go away for work a couple of times, but nonetheless I have enjoyed getting a good night’s rest and more importantly catching up with some pretty special people. Back to the salt mines on monday though.

An update WITH a layout!

It was my turn to do the sketch challenge for August over at The Scrapbook Establishment.

This is what I came up with, it’s a bit simple, but I have had these photos printed for years and I just wanted them scrapped, you know?
